Nordtveit to sign a pre contract

We can 'exclusively' reveal that the club may have struck a deal with former Arsenal defensive midfielder Havard Nordtveit on a pre contract agreement. The 25 year old Norwegian international is currently playing for German side Borussia Monchengladbach but he is available for an out of contract move to the club. West Ham are rumoured to have beaten Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Southampton and host of other club to his signature.
This move is likely to signal the end of Alex Song's time at Upton Park. Under the terms of his contract, if he starts another five games for the club his deal will have to be made permanent. This is something I have hinted in my columns and is something that Bilic is aware of. This contract situation explains why Song has not started many games for the club recently as Bilic decides what to do.

I knew nothing about this lad, other than the pedigree of club he came from, apparently captain, so there had to be something there. He got some stick for the first match, but as a centre back, I thought he did OK in his own role, and thought he was very composed on the ball when playing out.
As a DM, though, I thought he was immense. Once he's fully match fit and familiar with our counter attackers habits, this bloke could prove to be signing of the season.
We'll see, but good early signs.

Will be our best midfielder, he is absolutely top drawer, and I can see him and Noble doing having a great understanding, as they are both proper footballers, not BOX TO BOX ATHLETES.
Add Lanzini into the mix, and we'll finally have a midfield who can properly keep the ball.

OK I have to admit - I was at the whole match last night from an hour before it kicked off... and I didn't realise he was playing. I don't know who I was mixing him up with.

Like the thought of him being played, freeing up Kouyate and Noble- but who gets left out, a real headache trying to work out our best 11 now, hope we can keep everyone happy.
